For my birthday my girlfriend treated me to a visit to Twycross Zoo. I absolutely love animals so this was the perfect gift.
As always, I brought along my camera incase I wanted to take a few snaps.
For these photos I used my trusty Canon 60D with a 75-300mm telephoto lens so I could get up close to all the animal’s faces. I still have a ton of photos to go through (literally hundreds!) but these are my favourites so far that I have gone through and edited.
* more of my photography can be found on my Flickr site HERE.
I will aim to edit a second set on photos from this trip when I get the time. One thing I’ve learnt from this experience is that quality is more important that quantity. I’ve taken far too many photographs for me to go through and as a result I have a huge folder left on my desktop entitled ‘MUST SORT OUT LATER!’. This is something I will try to keep in mind on future photography trips.
